Our owner, David Mikkelsen, has been an active participant in community sports for over 40 years. He understands the benefits that community sports provide to children, including valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience. As David puts it, “community sports offer a sense of belonging and provide a fun and supportive environment for children to grow and thrive.”
As a business founded in the local community, we understand the importance of supporting community sport & initiatives that help to shape the future of our youth, as long-term supporters of Central Coast Basketball we are now proud to be the major Junior League basketball Sponsor.
At Fluid Plumbing, we have a real passion for basketball, with David having played the game since he was 13 years old. He has played at the highest level on the Central Coast, and now all three of his children play domestically and represent the Gosford City Rebels. Fluid Plumbing sponsor many domestic individual basketball teams, supply the junior basketball league with playing singlets, and sponsor individual Crusaders championship basketball players.
Our commitment to community sports extends beyond basketball, as we are also a sponsor of Central Coast Junior Rugby Union, where David’s son Levi plays. We believe that supporting community sports is an investment in the future of our youth. By providing opportunities for children to participate in sports, we are helping to create healthier, more well-rounded individuals who can help to make valuable contributions to our communities.
At Fluid Plumbing, we are honoured to support Central Coast Basketball with the Junior League & also other local sporting clubs. We believe that keeping kids involved in sports is crucial to their overall well-being, resillience & confidence, we are proud to support initiatives that help remove barriers to community sport participation and look forward to continuing our partnerships in the future.
“Community sports provide kids with much more than just physical exercise. They teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience. Most importantly, community sports offer a sense of belonging and provide a fun and supportive environment for children to grow and thriveā€¯
